Metal Gear shits on my soul and I keep going back to it anyway. I just got done infiltrating some place. It was tense as fuck. Guards everywhere. I'm almost done when fucking Dimitri over here thinks it's a good fucking time to walk into a room he never walks into except when he has an itching suspicion that sneaky-man is in it and he really, really wants that Red Army Star metal or whatever they give those fucking commies. Then everything goes to shit so hard I just shut the game off. I'm going back in. EDIT: Fuck Yakho-whatever-the-fuck base. Fuck the architects. Fuck the guards. Fuck everyone. Even the prisoners. Fuck that place. What a nightmare. Those blindspots when trying to sneak in and out of the courtyard area always fuck me over.
Just blow up their comm stations. That way when you fuck up it doesn't go to beyond the shit sphere. Then you can manipulate their tender Russian asses all you want as they literally scream for reinforcements. I've had situations go that way. It gets amazing when they're straight pissing themselves and unable to reinforce themselves properly. I've also mostly destroyed all comms and air-radar in Afghanistan as well ahead of any important story-ops.
Not to be a contrarian, but I've never been too big into the Metal Gear games. I did play and thoroughly enjoy Snake Eater, but that's really been the only one I've played.
MGSV is in the same story-line as MGS3, if that matters. So it's all properly still within the Cold War context. I don't know what else to say besides the fact it basically has the better version of Snake. Five would mark the fifth game in the series with Big Boss/Cold War-Snake as the central protagonist. Or four-and-a-half if you consider Ground Zeroes more half-a-game than a full game. And fucking Miller is fucking insane with revenge. It's scary listening to his tapes. He's dedicated as fuck.
