Name: Marcus Species: Vulcan (human-phoenix, hybrid-esque species) Age: Human form: 24-36 (variable) Vulcan: 1,245 (the age of his current body is about 38 days) Appearance: While his human forms vary in height, weight, facial features, everything, his Vulcan form is always the same. Forgoing clothes while in this form, he is covered head to toe in orange feathers, red designs moving across him, accentuating several of his avian features. Other than this he has a humanoid face and a human anatomy, with the exception of his feet and hands having talons. He has a very lean body type, with only the slightest hint of a muscular tone to it, belying his actual strength. His tail plumes trail behind him at 3 feet in length, ready to be put into action. These feathers seem special in the fact that they offer far more protection than his regular feathery hide, often using it as a main means of blocking an incoming attack. Abilities: Hidden – This ability is only in affect when in human form. He does not emit the energies associated with his kind, allowing him to slip past other powerful beings undetected, even if they have supernatural abilities of such nature. The downside of this is that his fairly squishy nature is now even worse, one fatal blow doing him in. Vulcan - At his whim, he can switch between his Vulcan and human forms, the human shell falling back to reveal true beauty. Whether attracting mates or distracting foes, his brilliant and vibrant feathers of flame work wonders, and his Vulcan form enhances his defensive and offensive capabilities to supernatural levels, able to resist point-blank, small arms gunfire, survive stab wounds, and being able bend steel bars with slight effort. Brilliant Feathers – His flaming feathers do more than just look good. Their makeup is supernatural in nature, having magic dispelling and supernatural-damaging properties. Against a creature of non-supernatural origin, they are like superheated arrows. Though he is not as experienced, his tail feathers can serve as an excellent complement to any unique hand-to-hand style he wished to employ, comparable to a sword sticking out of his ass. These feathers also form a protective shield, making it much harder to cast a spell against him. Be it an offensive spell or simply a passive effect a person may have based on their magic type, the effects are dulled if not completely nullified. Undying Ashes - The Vulcan, upon defeat, erupts into brilliant flames, being instantly cremated. These ashes are not just for show. In each piece is a small amount of hidden energy, the activation of which causes the process of rebirth. To kill a Vulcan, one must find a way to drain the energy from their ashes, as these ashes show no sign of being able to be destroyed via any physical means. Archery - Not wishing to mar his beautiful feathers, Marcus tends to fight at a distance. He has a bow made from strong but flexible wood, and resistant to his flames by some way of nature and magic. The bow appears to be crafted with rainbow colored hair used as the bowstring, and smells of what you'd expect in a little girl's fantasy. His ammunition tends to be his tail feathers, which when plucked grow back quickly, but nowhere near instantly. His skill is above average, able to fire his 'arrows' quickly and with decent accuracy. Weaknesses: Melodramatic - Marcus has an affinity for the dramatic, wishing to make a show more often then just killing his foes when the opportunity suits this. Showy and lofty, he rarely considers that his enemy might take advantage of this. Squishy - Though his Vulcan form lends him some extra toughness, in accordance to not dying every time he gets hit by the average sword or bullet, among stronger foes he is actually quite frail if one can get past his tail, the plumes of which can be scorching hot and seemingly impenetrable. Conceited: Vain in the greatest sense of the word, Marcus tends to talk about himself to the point of making anyone else sick of him. He might stop in the middle of a great battle to make sure his feathers aren’t getting ruffled, and he hates doing anything that would ruin them. He is not one for heroic quests, rarely engaging in any action that does not immediately benefit him. Small acts of heroism to boost his ego, however, are fair game. This nature leads him to being easily manipulated, if a person were capable of stomaching the praise they’d have to dish out. Love of Money: If there is one thing Marcus may love more than himself, it's gold coins and a weight to his name. Whether it's senseless murder, or the destruction/collection property, nothing is beyond him as long as the price is right, and most people would know this if they know of him. Oddly, with the exception of children as the target. He absolutely refuses to touch a hair on a child's head, for whatever reason. Children being the future and generally innocent in their youth, or something stupid like that. Bio: WIP Favorite Song: Don’t Stop Me Now - Queen
