Candice saw the ball of energy in Mars' hand and she stepped back one step, readying herself for the worst that was to come. However, Bloodstone had neutralized the attack before it could even effect the temple. Even if Bloodstone had prevented the attack, Candice was still wary of what he was going to do (there was the fact that he had fired a laser at them and Mohs Town before). She watched him as he went to stand toe to toe with Mars and answered his questions, before stepping back to summon his weapon and ask Mars if he wanted to learn how to do that. She turned around at the sound of Chromite and glared slightly at her question about Mars bothering Bloodstone.
She silently prepared herself for any attack that may come towards her or Mars, without giving away any indication to the gems around her. She didn't move except to look at the gems as they discussed.

Carnelian helped the gem stand up and she tilted her head at the gem's question. She answered him part of her face still hidden by the normal fan she held in front of her mouth, "Dahling, Ah'm afraid Ah don't know as to whom you are referring to," She added, continuing "In fact Dahling, Ah was hoping that you, or 'the others' you mentioned, could answer the questions Ah have...about being a gem," She then blinked as she realized something crucial, and she snapped her fan closed quickly and loudly (about the same volume as snapping one's fingers) "Ah! Where ARE my manners?! How unladylike of me!" She then held her hand out to the green gem in front of her and she introduced herself "My name is Carnelian, Dahling. May Ah inquire about your identity?"
