Even with her ears tucked snuggly away within the protective ear-muffs the thudding boom of the light cannon still made her ears ring. Of course it didn’t stop her from singing at the top of her lungs in the very cramped seat of the turret pod. “Fly me to the moon, And let me play among the stars.” Ninty grinned happily. The little green squares in front of her fixed upon the enemy cruisers own inactive guns, which were a lot easier to fire upon than they had been before and Ninty for one was not about to look a gift horse in the mouth and question why many of them had stopped firing. “Let me see what Spring is like, On Jupiter and Mars.” Slamming her thumbs down on the joystick buttons Ninty felt her pod being rocked slightly by the force of the cannons sending shards of light at the enemy cruiser. The targeted turret was then swallowed up in a fiery explosion in just one short volley. But of course that wasn’t enough for Ninty who, still singing away, continued to drag the next volley loaded into the cannon across the enemy cruisers hull onto the next inactive turret. The result was several further holes and dents forming a crude line of smouldering metal. As she began her assault on the next Turret Ninty made another mental note to ask for a gun at some point. Sadly though not all of the enemies own turrets were out of action and were still frantically retaliating against them with a few close shots making Ninty instinctively flinch as she was momentarily blinded by the occasional gouts of flame on either side of her turret. “Anyone want to see if they can get those other turrets to stop firing at us?” Ninty shouted into the microphone.
