Aquamarine had been prepared to throw up ice shields for everyone in the room, not sure what was going to happen in the moment when Mars went to destroy the nice temple floor. It was lucky enough that Bloodstone had neutralized the effects of Mars's attack which meant the need for her shields weren't necessary but she kept on guard none the less since there were more than just a few humans in the temple who wouldn't be able to take the damage if things went too south. She listened carefully as Blood spoke to Mars, the two of them toe to toe it seemed for a few moments, making her wonder if she might need to defuse the situation and how to even do so without others being hurt. She felt on edge by this whole conversation, both weapons out making her feel even more prepared to defend everyone else in room and nervous. One death was enough for the day. Aqua kept her hand near her gem as Mars started his reply to this very serious and more personal conversation where she was getting a few questions answered but some not as much as others. It had been a little startling to have Mars's eyes turn to her, that sadden look in their depths much more so than any young or new gem should have to bare. He looked so worn down and wise in this moment that it was hard not to see Tiger and it was painful to know that this young gem had to suffer from a past that shouldn't have been shared. The war was good for no one. Regrets were always present and the pain very real. Aqua's eyes shimmered with unshed tears, the thought of Tiger having that much regret and to the point that he would even feel he needed to beg for forgiveness hit her strongly. Quickly, she raised from the floor and wrapped her arms around Mars to bring him into a soft hug. It was a hug to comfort and a hug to an old friend all in one. Aquamarine's voice was soft and gentle, a hint of sorrow lingering in her words as she finally spoke,"Tiger has always had my forgiveness because I knew this is not the path he really wanted. He explained why he choose the way he did and I had to respect that even though it hurt to hear after.....", she paused for a moment before continuing from a different point."War is cruel to all sides and people that we are close to are bound to pass one way or another. We all have pains and regret for that time. Either way, I am so sorry Mars. I'm sorry that I am part of memories that are causing you so much emotional pain because one so young should never have to experience this. I just hope that this answer can bring some peace to not only Tiger but to you so that this feeling connected with the past can be changed or dissipate and give you freedom from the chains of the past. One that you shouldn't have to worry about or deal with unless you choose too."
