Alton lay on the floor sulking a little longer until he realized he was hearing fewer and fewer voices around him. Were people leaving? He sat up to see a large black doorway in the middle of the empty white space. It seemed that most of the others had already walked through, and everyone else were preparing to do likewise. 'Welp' Alton thought to himself, 'It can't get worse now.' He got up from where he was sitting, and walked through the doorway, along with the others. Alton expected more emptiness when he stepped through the portal, or maybe some abstract reality of shapes, something unreal and mystical. What he wasn't expecting was a brightly colored city block populated by chibi kids with squid tentacles for hair. Strangely, none of the squid-kids seemed to notice the fact that the group stuck out like a sore thumb; not even the wolf with the motherf***ing sword in his chest got a second look. Besides that, Alton noticed that a new person had come to join the group, the robot anime chick whose name was..."Eve?" or was it "Alexis"? Well in either case, she seemed to know what was up, so Alton decided to see what she had to say.
