Candice Ghoste
Candice listened to the discussion and she blinked in slight surprise when Mars turned to Aquamarine and asked for forgiveness for Tiger. She half expected a no from Aquamarine, but instead the blue gem hugged Mars and spoke sadly, forgiving him with such ease. Candice felt immense sadness as her mind wandered to the jumbled memories and thoughts of her previous missions. She had derailed heinous crimes... She had captured (if not killed) wanted criminals... She had even prevented a war at the cost of one person's life... ...Would the innocent family and friends of the people she killed forgive her if she asked them like Mars had? ...No. The answer came to Candice easily. She was sure that those people would rather see Candice dead and gone, rather than forgive her. The sad and shocked eyes of a child along with their scream haunted her mind. Her eyes darted to her hands and she saw the illusion of blood staining her hands as though she had never washed them since that day. She never realized the sadness in her own eyes as she thought, with her eyes looking at floor from a hung head. She was glad for Mars...but there was no salvation for her. She snapped out of her intrusive memories and thoughts when she heard laughing. She snapped her head back up, the emotionless mask back on, and she looked towards Bloodstone as he laughed in a crazed way and spoke. Her hand itched for the gun that was holstered and hidden on her person, but she remained still and tense, worried that a single movement would be met with an instant attack from Bloodstone. With someone acting like Bloodstone, she knew that it would be smart to kill him now before he endangered anyone else, but there was the fact that he wasn't human. He probably wouldn't be killed by a bullet and he would be able kill her instantly. She listened carefully to his words, and the fact that he had made monsters raised a new concern in Candice's mind: Were the monsters he made on Earth?! And if so, were they just in Mohs Town, or were they spread out all over the planet?! She remained silent as Chromite and Sodalite appeared to answer his question. She wanted to give her own two cents, but she didn't want to give away that she was working for the human government and why she was there. She needed to keep her cover. She crossed her arms as she looked at Bloodstone with distrust hidden by the emotionless mask.
