I probably could have used you earlier, but I guess you will have to fill in later.
Heh heh...yeah, my bad....
But of recent events: The Third International's central Politburo elected that yes, there's grounds to go to war with Spain. This comes with agreement from most of the member nation's fifty-person delegations. I want to go over the exact terms later, but to keep certain areas in synch with activities abroad I'm holding off until @Vilageidiotx and I do something with Azima and Hou. But the general premise is that the International has declared a state of war between it and Spain to drive the Spanish out of Africa and broadly "reconstruct the African regime". It'll probably take a while for further nations like Mexico to catch wind, so don't worry about it just yet. And though it's not a formal declaration of war on behalf of all the nations involved it does establish certain minimum obligations to contributing to the military state of the war. So Mexico will be expected in time to deploy at least some troops to Africa to back-up the Ethiopians. On an informal basis this may be a move some individuals might use to drum up full war support depending on what's going on at home. This will come into play later in Asia.
Wait, holy shit, really? Oh my god, IT'S HAPPENING Er, well, maybe not quite yet. But the (non-)declaration is there! Shit's 'bout to get fucked. Don't worry, you can be assured that the Mexicans will be there on the shores of Africa to aid in the conflict when the time comes. "Reconstruct the African regime." Suspicious wording is suspicious. But we'll see how that plays out.
Perhaps Isolationism would be the America UA? You could give them the vanilla Ethiopian UA, and maybe mix in something else for style.
I can certainly see the historical significance of American "isolationism", yes. That's something to definitely take into consideration. However, Ethiopia's UA for America would be counterintuitive simply because America is pretty big in the RP. If I made a scenario with the borders as they are in the RP--and I do intend to make a scenario once I have enough modded civs--then America's UA would be useless. I'm thinking something akin to isolationism, yes, but perhaps some gunboat diplomacy, too? Or maybe just buff their Manifest Destiny UA, who the hell knows. By the way, I'm considering replacing Ethiopia's bonus against higher tech with the Iroquois forest and jungle movement bonus, as well as keeping the extra founded territory. What do you think?
I got the mod and fucked around with it a bit. I wanted to meet everybody, but ended up spawning on a tiny island with China.
That's unfortunate. Maybe try advanced settings so that you could meet everyone?
The only unintended bug I noticed was that NPC simply doesn't download. Even when I am picking out civs in advanced settings, I can pick out all the modded versions for the others but NPC remains Wu Zetian and China.
Huh, that's odd. It was the first of the mods I made, and it was a considerable while before I made the others. It may be lacking something that the others have. If not, I may just need to scrap the older version and make a new one altogether. Also, a thought: have you tried it with any of the other modded civs? It may not be an issue with China, but instead all the mods as a whole. I certainly hope it's just one mod and not all of them DX
