Aquamarine drew away from Mars swiftly, her attention snapping onto Blood and her eyes didn't dare leave him for a single moment as she listened to his words. Her hands gripped together over where the heart would be on a human, the broken and maddening way he spoke was not how she remembered Bloodstone ever sounding and she could live thousands of years longer or even the rest of her life without ever wanting to hear it again. It made her ache to comfort him, someone she viewed almost stronger than all others crumbling from the weight of the past, the emotions of it all, and possibly even the scars from it which made her feel helpless on what to do exactly. She knew she wasn't the only one that suffered but she never thought Bloodstone would show those scars of pain in front of others. She thought if anything he would hide it all till he was in private but this showed just how much could change while you were gone. She wanted to move, she wanted to step forward and just hold him but she seemed frozen to her spot. Aqua wanted to find some way to make him feel better so he could be that confident self that he always was because this version of him was unbearable to watch and not want to do something. Aqua was use to being at his side whenever he needed someone and now she didn't know if her presences would be a comfort or even welcome if she tried. The laughing stopped, the words no longer ripping at her soul but Blood's collapsing.. almost drawn to tears...it had her breath just caught in her throat. Aquamarine didn't know who Chromite was but she was glad to hear her words, to know the view from another not on their side even if it wasn't all that emotional or feelsy but maybe that was for the best at the moment. Sodalite spoke up next, letting Bloodstone know that they or at least not all of the gems here thought of him as the villain or foe. That he could possibly be an ally. Aquamarine had never said they had to stay and they were free to go to him just as she had said all along though it would hurt to see any of the young gems go. It had hurt her to see Eve leave and watch Sodalite's reaction to whatever had truly happened that day. She didn't trust Blood as she did in the past because she felt betrayed and also she got to see what he became during war and it scared even horrified her. Tiger had been a good soldier, it was his duty but Blood had done things that she thought was cruel maybe even beyond that. He wasn't past being forgiven but it wasn't like she was going to hand out her trust any time soon or even offer anything close to friendship because...he would do as ordered. Aquamarine couldn't be by his side and feel the slice of him choosing to go against her. She couldn't watch him walk away, his back facing her as they split paths and breaking herself again. She didn't know if she could make it a second time through that kind of agony. If they did the truce she would probably try her best to avoid him and watch from afar because she couldn't let certain feelings get involved or at least she needed to try. She could give no words to comfort him but at least she could do something. She stepped forward, carefully kneeling down on the floor next to him, a soft hand gently rubbing Bloodstone's back and hoping it would help, not caring about the risk just like she hadn't worried about being attacked with Mars earlier.
