Same here. I've only left one group RP and one 1x1 partner. The partner was because it became painfully apparent that we were not looking for the same things by the time post five rolled around. The group was actually for one of the things that [@NuttsnBolts] mentioned. The GM let anybody and everybody who applied join and after a few days we had 20+ characters. I went to work one day and came home to an entire page of posts. There was an explosion of activity thanks to a handful of players. A lot of us left in the first week because it became impossible to keep up with and inadvertently pressed an intimidating if not impossible post quota.

TL;DR When posting gets too fast I get scared and run away to cry in a corner.
