Roleplaying is nothing but writing an interactive story with one (or many more) other players. You follow the same basic rules of any creative writing: dialogue, narrative, a balance between descriptive and not TOO descriptive, etc, etc. 

The best news? NO ONE will judge you for being new to RP here! Just hop into Free, do some reading, and when you're comfortable throw your proverbial hat into an accepting RP. 

In the meantime, it might be worth your while to read the RPGuild Welcome Package the Guild Mods account PMed you.
