[@PKMNB0Y] Been a while since I finished the series, so yeah, memories are a bit fuzzy. 

The character would be from Europe from a family who fight alongside their familiar, or shikigami even if I don't recall things like that being used by any of the characters in the series. So it wouldn't really be an extra strength, since being able to create this bond is his family's shtick.
