"You have fun stumbling around in the dark down there." Free called after Dominic. After he passed from sight, she stood at the top of the stairs, looking down into the darkness below. Finally, her frustration overtook her caution and she started down, keeping her hand on the wall as she went. 

"Wait up," she grumbled, blinking as her eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness. She could see him now below her, just before he turned the corner.
