Join us in the shadows where we stand vigilant. Join us as we carry the duty that cannot be forsworn. And should you perish, know that your sacrifice will not be forgotten... and that one day, we shall join you. ❞ -Traditional words that begin a Joining. The Dragon Age has long since passed. The story of the Hero of Ferelden, the Champion of Kirkwall, and the Inquisitor have long since ended. But they're actions, and inactions have lasting effects on the world. Towards the end of the Dragon Age came the revolutionary invention of the firearm. By using small amounts of grinded up Lyrium, we created bullets. And thus we fittingly named the next age 'Bullet'. It would soon prove to be just as violent as the previous age. The Bullet Age has proven to be just as violent as the last, as the last fifty years the Tevinter Imperium has been in a bitter slave uprising, as the invention of firearms have given the powerless the ability to fight against the magisters. The slave rebellion is backed by the Qunari, who wish to escalate the conflict so they could control Tevinter. The Magisters have slowly been losing this war, due to being increasingly out numbered. The Free Marches have become a Democracy, the first infact, and have an elected President, and it has worked well for them. Ferelden is on the brink of collapse, suffering a increasingly horrible depression. Orlais continues to be a major power, but the most powerful country as of now is Nevarra, as they capitalized on the Tevinter Slave Rebellion, and have been slowly increasing their borders into the Imperium. The mages are given a bit more freedom than during the Dragon Age, but are still pretty segregated, as instead of having towers, and circles they have reservations. Sections of land dedicated to them. There most mages live, and train. There is still a small presence of Templers there just in case, but the mages are in charge there. The Templers no longer serve only the Chantry, but they also report to the Inquisition as well. After the Mage-Templer War the Inquisition reinstated the order, but the Inquistion helps keep them in check, and that they are treating the mages fairly. The Inquisition has become a legendary faction, similar to the Grey Wardens, but held in higher regard given that the Wardens are seen useful only during a Blight. They're reach has extended far throughout Thedas, and has become a recognized police force throughout the land. The Dwarves are in serious decline. The Darkspawn completely invaded Orzammar, destroying the once great Dwarven city. This forced the Dwarves to retreat to the surface, forever sealing the city behind them. They were given land in the Frostback Mountians so they could rebuild. They made a new settlement, and named it New Orzammar. Not much has changed for the Dalish elves. They prefer to stick to the classic weaponry of their ancestors, and continue their nomadic lifestyle. Now the Darkspawn have begun to gather en masse. The possibility of a sixth Blight has become increasingly apparent. Grey Warden's are needed. Several hopeful recruits are taken to a Grey Warden Outpost in Cumberland for the Joining ritual. Every story has it's hero, what kind will you be? With the invention of firearms Warriors generally use single revolvers, shotguns, and repeaters. Though some still use the classic weapons such as swords, and shields. Some use a shield along with a gun in a riot-shield-like manner.
Specializations

Templar - These unrelenting warriors specialize in fighting mages and demons. No enemy's magic can withstand them, and they inspire, and protect their allies with their righteous power.
Reaver - As the battle gets bloodier, these vicious and deadly warriors get even more brutal. Hurting them just makes them mad, a mistake most enemies don't live to repeat.
Champion - Defenders and protectors, and when a warrior trains in the champion's tradition, they become unstoppable. Champions use their armor, weapons, and awareness to shrug off incoming attacks while holding critical positions on the battlefield, and protecting allies.
Demo - These warriors specialize in heavy weaponry. They are able to use their lyrium bullets with explosive results, being able to make their shots into explosive rounds.

Rogues are still the nimble-footed, and tricky rascals that they have always been. With the invention of firearms Rogues have adepted well, using stylish dual revolvers, and long range bolt-action sniper rifles. Some still keep to the classic daggers, and bows, given the less than quiet nature of firearms.
Specializations

Assassin - Any rogue can kill a target, but assassins make death into an art form. They specialize in quick, deadly kills that let them slide back into the shadows undetected.
Tempest - These unpredictable experts specialize in using alchemical mixtures that wreathe them in frost or flame. Fast, chaotic, and possibly mad, they wade into the fight and dare enemies to face storms.
Artificer - Intricate mechanisms are the core of the artificer's craft. Deadly traps; Distracting contraptions; Marvels of engineering turned to deadly purpose.
Marksman - Anyone with a trigger finger can shoot a gun, but those with the right skill can make the bullets dance. The Marksman has impeccable accuracy. They are so skilled that they can make impossible shoots by ricocheting the bullets off different surfaces.

Not much has changed for Mages. They can still shoot fire from their finger tips, and be possessed by demons. They still use staffs to focus their power, though some may use a revolver.
Specializations

Shapeshifter - These Mages have learned to alter their body, being able to take the form of different animals.
Blood Mage - Known as 'maleficarum', blood mages are feared not only for the incredible power of their spells, but also their ability to control minds, as well as being able to turn others into walking bombs.
Spirit Healer - Not all entities of the Fade are demonic. Many are benevolent entities consisting of life energy, which can be called upon to mend flesh and heal disease. Spirit Healers focus on channeling the energies granted to them by these spirits.
Gunsmith - These Mages have taken inspiration from the invention of firearms, and have learned to summon forth a storm of bullets made of the spirital energy of the Fade.

Character Name
Song(Optional)
"Quote."

The Basics
Name Answer Nickname Answer(If any.) This is my second RP here on the site, and as one might be able to tell it's a Dragon Age based one. The canon of the previous games is Bioware's, meaning a female Dalish Warden who made the ultimate scrafice, a male Mage Hawke, and I'm not sure what it is for Inquisition, but we'll have it a male, human warrior.
You guys know the basic rules, no godmodding, meta playing, blah, blah, blah.
This RP will be dealing with violence, fighting, and all that good stuff that makes us psychos. If you can't handle that then this isn't the RP for you.
As for specializations, you can have up to two. I picked ones from the games that I thought would work best. If there is one from the games that you'd rather use, like for example a bard, I'd be ok with that. But no original ones ok?
If you have any questions, suggestions, or whatever feel free to send them my way. We all have room for improvement.
Let's try to be active ok? At least post once a week. But you can talk to me if that's a problem, I swear I won't bite. Not unless you're into that. :brow
Alright, let's have a good time folks!
