Can we just make the edits and be done with it? It's an easy mistake, and now we know better, so there's really no reason to drag this on. We have a story to get to! 

In the future, though, perhaps we could use "the wolf" instead of just Wolf. It does seem a tad awkward to leave out the article when it's not their name.
