"But you didn't hurt them on purpose buddy, get it? No one is mad at you because you didn't mean it, and you shouldn't feel bad. It'd be one thing if you went and attacked us, you know? But you didn't." Shu really shouldn't be blaming himself when he didn't have control, that was unfair to himself. Though even if Shu had done it on purpose Takeshi doubted he'd let his brother do that even then, it happened so rarely it didn't exactly make him a bad guy. "We're all afraid when we fight too, especially when we fought father," the older boy remarked, smiling slightly as he spoke, "We just fight through it is all. You can do something and still be afraid of it, you know?" Takeshi was trying his damnedest to help Shu here, but he wasn't getting a full idea of what was going on. So Shu was afraid, was that it? Or maybe he felt he wasn't strong, that could be the problem too. It was likely frustrating for both of them that the full picture wasn't being seen here, albeit they were trying to get to that point. When Shu started getting a bit stressed, the older boy looked over at him and frowned, wondering if he was even capable of helping with something like this. "The only time you ever hurt anyone is when you change... So we need to stop that," he reflected, rubbing at his neck, "Or... At least make you safer when you do it. It's been a long time since I changed, but maybe I can help you." The problem now would be getting him to change without getting Shu overly angry, as that seemed to be the only way he changed so far. Maybe a full moon or some equivalent would do it, wasn't that what supposedly triggered the change? "Hey... It doesn't matter if you beat someone yourself, we haven't all exactly done that. We team up and beat other people, the bad people, you know? And you help with that. So... Maybe you're not beating people by yourself, but you help, and you're a big help." "I suppose you wouldn't remember, sorry. And no, you are not comparable to a vacuum cleaner. A typical mother tends to the household, but you wouldn't call her an appliance, would you? She's an individual, not a tool, and that's the same for you. Just because you were made to help out doesn't make you a tool, or demeans or lessens your existence to anything less than what you are, and that is Viral." Hmph, he was looking way too into that simple statement wasn't he? Perhaps, but Viral shouldn't be thinking of himself as a simple instrument of war or house cleaning; Viral was a living, breathing being. He had thoughts, feelings, desires even if he wouldn't voice them, simple tools didn't have those. Making a face at the Beastman when he was given a jab at, Vegeta rolled his eyes before waving a hand dismissively. "I was doing what our parents wished of me, plain and simple. I'd have preferred almost anything over pouring over texts incessantly. Now that they're back however, and I've finished my education, I'm free to do as I please. If that includes something like gardening, expert or not, I'll do it." Only one wall remained to be erected and the Uuonians were far more suited to the task, so Vegeta figured it was best they move on. Their next job would have to be one that'd hopefully tire Viral out more, but not one that'd frustrate him and risk something unwarranted happening. It took but a brief search to find such a thing, and whilst street cleaning wasn't the most illustrious of jobs, none of the ones they had done were really, it was simple enough yet demanding enough to keep Viral busy. Viral offered no complaints about the selection though he didn't try to hide his displeasure at it either, likely finding the task much too mundane or menial for his liking. "I don't expect enthusiasm or any joy for that matter, we're here to work," Vegeta remarked, smiling slightly as he glanced at Viral, "Though... You never know, you may find something enjoyable yet, try to keep an open mind." He hadn't a clue what might be enjoyable about debris removal, but he figured try getting his brother to be a little more open minded on the matter, see if he could find light of it.
