There is, literally, near countless ways any of these gods could have met Dream. To me it's easier to decide on a type of relationship and work backwards from there, hence my suggesting he might know Dream. Sister or brother. Everyone dreams. Every personality type. Everyone has their own story. Dream would view Mikazliqui as another godling; so what if he was a scheming cannibal? Not like Dream hasn't met those before; good and bad in anything. Even scheming cannibals.
