Perhaps you could explain exactly what the deli is and where it's located. I assumed it was like a little restaurant right next to the cafeteria so if you go to meat someone in the caf and don't see them you could easily take a look in the deli.

No problem.  The deli is in the same building as the cafeteria but not the same room.
