This is more of a shot in the dark than anything, but here goes:

Who has heard of [url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/WonderProjectJ]Wonder Project J[/url], or Wonder Project J 2?  They were games for the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64, respectively, and they focused on teaching a robot how to perform simple tasks, such as climbing a ladder, throwing and kicking a ball, and opening doors, and other such activities.  There was an overarching plot regarding the divide between humans and automatons, with the player's robot intending to be the link that brings them together.

I think it would be fun to do something like that.  My partner would act as the player character, teaching and interacting with the robot.  I would be playing the part of the robot, as well as various NPCs.
