Everything seemed to have hit the fan in the blink of an eye.

Dark Matter watched Sam curiously as she seemed to have some sort of mental breakdown. This was completely understandable, what with the live torture session that they were forced to watch. What surprised Dark Matter the most, though, was that clicking sound. What was causing it? Why was it getting louder? Did it have any connection to the cyborg girl acting even more insane than before? Dark Matter was given a few answers to his thoughts when Sam's body physically changed color in areas. This had never happen before, at least Dark Matter couldn't recall it ever happening before. That look on the girl's face...She was going to do it. She was actually going to try and escape. He'd seen a look similar to her's on Jason, but the boy rarely followed through with his crazy, violent schemes. Dark Matter guessed that was due impart to a want to keep his family safe. But Sam? Sam had nothing to lose.

When Sam busted down the door, Dark Matter leaped to his feet. That girl was going to get herself and anyone who followed her outside killed. While it didn't exactly matter if they were killed, Dark knew that it would be a waste of resources for a future escape, that was better well planned and not based around a little girl going berserk. When Jason killed the two guards (I assume his dark matter spikes did..) and began to run for the door, Dark Matter was driven into action. That boy was too powerful to waste on this foolish attempt of an escape! The dark creature rushed after Jason, pouncing at the boy's back, aiming to tackle him to the ground."You idiot!" Dark shouted, his voice dripping with hostility."You'll get killed if you go out now!"
