You were most likely too focused on what you were thinking that you didn't realize and misinterpreted what he actually was trying to say. I have a feeling it wasn't details. Cause he was pretty detailed. It was just how so mindset you were about the topic. You seemed like you were getting pretty aggravated about it and you were trying to prove him wrong , but the case was that you both were right it was just that you weren't....listening correctly.
