Vallen's parents were both consumed by dark magics and slaughtered by an indifferent party of righteous paladins when he was but a young child. When all was done they couldn't bring themselves to kill the innocent child, even if he was born into evil ceremonies and surrounded by the dark arts, so instead they left Vallen at a monastery where the monks vowed to steer him down an alternate path.

Little did they know how important that vow was, for something in his blood linked the young child strongly to magic, and something in his short existence had attracted dark magics to respond to his whims. Locked away somewhere deep in his precious little head are rare and ancient forbidden rituals, if only he opened himself to magic to use them.

The monks of the monastery were an excellent family and raised Vallen well in stilling him with all the virtues and values of a true paladin. By using fear as a tool, through stories and lies they managed to create a strong hatred within him towards magic. He always felt like there was something more, he knew there was something he didn't know, so to quench this threatening curiosity he was apprenticed to some of the greatest craftsmen and inventors.

Vallen is bright and cheerful. He idolises the path of knights and paladins holding justice, freedom and kindness as values above everything else. He loves to help others and has a powerful stubborn streak of determination.
Creating and inventing is his second passion and hobby.
