Background: Aoki always had a taste for fast music since he was young, apparently because she was exposed to such music from their parents, mostly unintentional in their defense. The taste wasn't blatant until he was around 13.
However, his ability subtly manifested itself when he was 12, as was recovering from minor bone fractures which didn't take a long time to recover, he could feel the other's pain, slowly depressing himself as he sensed the suffering of others, trying to think of something to do for them but eventually giving up, as he believed miracles doesn't exist.
However, his definition of "miracle" got changed after a year, when he was told a slightly wounded friend of his recovered unnaturally quickly while the friend was listening to Aoki playing a song, which made the player apply the word "miracle" to the situation, with the "miracles" happening when he was playing songs. Although he could sense his songs and the "miracles" might be related to each other, he did not know how it did until he got a letter, apparently from "the Academy for the Musically Gifted". He initially dismissed the letters as a prank, but the letters kept coming in, with each letters attempting to prove it isn't a joke. Soon, he gave in, with his parents agreeing soon after their child did.
