Slightly less shrubbery mixed with flattened grass indicated a path that hugged the treeline, past the hulking harpooned tree and up towards the high ground they had noticed earlier. This was most likely a hunting trail, or maybe a war path. Either way, it didn't [b]have[/b] to be followed, they could keep themselves orientated with the stream still in sight or earshot.
