Hello there. I'm mostly here for the interest of watching and giving advice. I know this is a free roleplay with likely minimal depth, but I still believe you should do a little more research on how something like X-Com would realistically operate. First things' first, the equipment thing and the 'go to other areas to relax' thing. That simply wouldn't be the case. X-COM is displayed as a very secretive organization, and the closest things IRL (like many special forces of first world countries, for example), simply wouldn't allow people 'on the job' to wander about outside the base. As well, most grunts in military forces are just that; grunts. All they're reasonably expected to do is to fight and do the most basic maintenance on all of their stuff, if something of theirs was broken, they wouldn't even have to go to the quartermaster or whatnot to report it. I think usually, after an operation, the grunts go to the guy who handles all of the equipment back at base (the quartermaster), give back whatever, even if its' in pieces, then let them do all that. (reporting the damage, getting engineering to fix it, et cetera) Finally, in the military, you don't get to pick what you want. Realistically, you're given a gun that fits your training, with no ifs ands or buts. Of course, it does fit what you were trained to do, but y'know. In any case, [s]I'll be watching[/s] We... will be watching.
