In the future, make sure you ask other players beforehand if they're alright with it before you do posts concerning something being done with their characters. Auto-hits are a big no-no, alright? This applies to everyone.
Eh, I only considered because he literally ran face first into an Expert in CQC while unprepared himself, and of course the whole 'he's tough' angle :D Normally I'd use a setup of hypothetical description of what he'd 'do' instead of 'did', or use words like tried, intended, attempted, and so on, so that the other player is completely free to go 'that's not what happened' for one reason or another, like 'smoking' suddenly when he was grabbed. Hell, he still could, given big boss's experiences, it's entirely believable he may have hallucinated the actual slamming portion. This particular situation was prime real-estate for 'There's an overwhelming chance that 'this' would happen.' while still containing other options to avoid it even after suddenly being grabbed. I support 'respect for other players' of course, but there is one unfortunate trouble that comes from the ask-first method... Delays, not that being patient is a 'bad' thing, I like being patient, but there is always the possibility that the person who needs to be asked, may not be around at the time of the person who need to ask them. While commonly not a crippling issue, there is always the chance that someone may be away for an extended period and waiting to ask can actually damage the RP or the individuals side of it. Note, these are just my 2-cents and a buck-full of experience on the subject, I'm not arguing, just rambling. If the 'hypothetical style time saver' is okay, you'll probably see me use that in 98% of situations that could otherwise involve an auto-hit. If not, I'll just have to play along with the wait, or cut posts short of course. on a side note, going back to edit in all the D's i missed while on laptop now :D
