Azrael took a few steadying breaths, trying to calm his racing heart beat. He'd never spoken in front of a group like this before, it was nerve-wracking! Before he started overheating and sweating, Azrael started the long journey to the podium. Standing behind it, he squinted slightly for a breath, wondering why the school needed such bright lights. "Hello Mana-Script Academy, my name is Azrael Arcana and I am a first-year student here at this Academy. While I have had great mentors in the past, I know that the instructors in this school are the best and brightest known on this vast world. I hope that we all succeed, but I aim to prove to myself and everyone that I will be a positive contribution to this school. Please, treat me kindly and I will do so in return. If you wish to know me personally, I am always open to making new friends! I hope the Academy treats you- and myself- well, have a magical day." Az bowed his head slightly, and proceeded back to his seat. This place was wondrous and the students just as impressive. Yet a small part of him missed the forests, mountains, and sea where he had first begun his magical training. He felt as if he could get lost in the sea of faces that he saw before him. His sword embarrassingly clinked against the metal of his chair, reverberating slightly in the silence following his introductory speech.
