I briefly thought about making a hard water fruit for my current chara but realized how ass-backwards that would have been in hindsight. Fishman can already use water like a logia fruit user and if I remember right oda said that fishman + devil fruit = insta dead fish, which would make a lot of sense biologically speaking. A fishman that can't swim, that's like a person that can't breathe air.
