The speed thing is wrong. Luffy is faster then the speed of sound. He dodges multiple gunfire from different angles. Zoro can cut bullets mid flight and attack the gunmen at the sametime. Everyone luffy level at the start of the manga is faster then the speed of sound. They are beyond supersonic. Even Kuro was supersonic. They could react to Enel who could move as fast as lightning.

Now on to the fruit, it was revered cause Whitebeard was that powerful with it. My character would not be anywhere on his scale. You'd have to be as strong as whitebeard or blackbeard, who absorbed whitebeard to gain his strength.
