Regarding the spirits... Your suggestion is very much possible. I am not going to say no, since I have not considered that aspect before. Minor spirits are welcome in a reasonable extent. It would make sense since every star is a soul of a warrior who died defending Idumea. All living in Idumea does have a spirit or intelligence of a kind.
