CS Name: Alastair 'Jock' Gordon Age: 42 Appearance: 6' 2” in height, on the healthy side of weight – more muscle than fat – this man is every bit the consummate soldier; straight-backed at all times, two blue eyes peering out from beneath brows of deep brown, hair of the same colour cut short on his head, his thin lips like a slit across his otherwise average features (though rather gaunt and pointed, high cheekbones and ears that would not stick out so much if covered by hair), his entire body is like an upside down triangle. Broad shoulders tapper down into a narrower waist, firm legs holding him upright on most terrain and allowing for speed of movement, his entire torso a bundle of lean muscle and whip-fast motion. Usually he can be seen dressed in whatever he needs for his mission(s), but it is always immaculately clean and pressed, anything from a hoodie and jeans to a kevlar vest and black cargo trousers – it changes day by day. He has no cybernetics, for he has no need of them. Nation of Birth: Greenock, Scotland Codename: Claymore Personality Traits: Alistair is pretty much as dour as a they come, a grimly efficient killer who is rather out of touch when it comes to person-to-person interaction. Although this does result in rather stilted conversation, those that can come close enough to befriend him will find that there is much more to the brooding Scotsman than a tactical mind and a quick trigger finger. In the field, however, he is both of these things, his training taking immediate effect and turning him from a stoic observer to an even more unemotional reaper of bodies. In short, he is obstinate and reflective, strategically minded but often quiet on most subjects, speaking up only when he knows he has something to contribute. Short Backstory - Born in Greenock, Scotland, to a nurse mother and a bricklaying father in 1985. Has three brothers and a sister. - Has an average school 'career', gets bullied and bullies back, leaves school at sixteen (2001) with passable grades; what his teachers don't know is that he is, in fact, quite bright and could easily have done better. - Only a couple of months later, ignoring an offer of a job from his father, he applies for the Royal Marines and passes the entry exam with flying colours. Thirty-two weeks of basic training pass, many failing and dropping out, but Alastair clinging on, in this time he learns any number of skills that should serve him well in the future – from navigation and survival training, to amphibious assault and mountain combat. - After completing his basic training, and passing out some time after his seventeenth birthday, he went on to specialise as a General Duties Marine or GD with 42 (Four-Two) Commando. In this role as a basic Commando he was sent on tours of duty firstly to Oman, and then to Afghanistan where he remained until 2003 before being sent to Iraq as part of Operation Telic, taking part in numerous operations and actions within Iraq. - Since returning from Iraq in 2005 he went on to see combat in numerous theatres around the world, plying his trade for almost twenty-three years. In this time he was selected for the role of a Swimmer Canoeist, passing the rigorous and sometimes life threatening the UK Special Forces Selection Course to become part of the rarely heard of Special Boat Service. - By the time the Angel Protocols were bought into play, he had already discharged himself from the service – which was not financially beneficial in a world that seemed to be collapsing in on itself – and set himself up as a freelance gun-for-hire. In this capacity he took on operations across the globe, from China to Russia, and even the United States during the uprisings. - Now forty-two years old, and with a solid twenty-six years of soldiering behind him, including Special Forces operations, Alastair is once more an open contract ready to be signed. Devil or not, at least he gets paid!
