Wait wait wait, are you saying that your planets, no doubt at least 50 lightyears away- and is likely to be far further, so since the exploration fleet was originally far-reaching in the first place- can fire surface-to-deepspace or orbit-to-deepspace weapons that can hit something in a different solar system in a different solar cluster? Are you saying that you can shoot anything anywhere if you have some coordinates and less than an hours' preparation? Cause that sounds like some BS to me. That sounds like a "Cause magic," right there. I thought there was something about portals being incredibly difficult, though definitely doable for large or advanced empires/nations. Making a portal to fire god knows what to god knows where, REMOTELY, sounds ridiculous. Now if Duck the Almighty says that Magic can do such a thing, then I'm going to have to ferret this Queen figure away and have her perform some five-person ritual (I'm pretty sure she has at least seven people) to give my race the ability to do CauseMagic stuff, like fire their superweapons (Anything that can one-shot a space dreadnought or more) over several dozens or hundreds of lightyears away. Which is odd, since some other outdated ship and person apparently outran and outsmarted a CauseMagic advanced and fully designed ship. and if you note, I am not cursing, or screaming, I am just a little aggravated that there might be more CauseMagic (Which I will now refer to as "CM") after so much CM in the past.
