Candice Ghoste
Considering that nothing was happening between Bloodstone and the other gems, Candice figured that it was best if she took her leave, and she could listen to the rest of the conversation through the bug she placed in the temple. She got off of the wall and walked out of the temple and started down the trail. However, before she ran into Aquamarine, an earthquake shook the ground. However, Candice knew better that this kind of shake wasn't just a normal earthquake...something exploded. She widened her eyes as her phone rang. She fished her phone out and answered, "Ghoste, here," "Agent, what is going on down there?! What the hell happened?! Did an atomic bomb go off there?!" "Quite frankly, Sir, if it was an atomic bomb, I wouldn't be talking to you now. I'm going to investigate. Where-" "What were you doing Agent? Getting a martini?" "I was gathering intel. They didn't seem to be suspicious of me or my presence at all. Now, where was the explosion?!" "...It was at the Canyon, Agent. Now get going!" "Yes, Sir! I'll report to you later!" Candice quickly hung up after she answered, and she realized something horrible. The Kindergarten... Mars was there!!! Was he alright? Was he...the source of the explosion. Before she realized it, the path underneath her had become a path of ice, and before she stepped to sprint, she started slipping and she desperately tried to steady herself as she shouted "What the-?! WOAH!" She slipped and she slid down the path shouting until she reached the end of the slippery path. Once she had stopped sliding, she quickly jumped up and ran off towards the town and towards the Kindergarten, ignoring the red woman who stood there with a fan in front of her face. Candice ran, now glad that she had gone through the rough training. She ran a fast pace of eight minutes per mile. Sure she wasn't as fast as one of the Gems, but she was certainly much more fit and faster than the average human. Before she even knew it, she reached the Kindergarten, and she soon found the crater that wasn't there before. She walked cautiously, panting heavily, up to the edge of the crater and looked to see Aquamarine and BloodStone there. BloodStone was embracing a crying Aquamarine. She also noticed the snowball in Aquamarine's hands, and noticed that Mars didn't seem to be anywhere near here. What had happened...? Where was Mars...? The words didn't escape her mouth, as she had a feeling of dread as an idea of where he may be came to her mind. She looked towards the direction of the explosion and she noticed that it was coming from where she came from. She looked back to Aquamarine as the blue gem bubbled Emerald, and created an icy path for her to follow. She watched Aquamarine run towards the explosion in concern. For a moment, Carnelian stood silently debating with herself as to whether or not she should follow Aquamarine or just go to the temple and get her answers. She wanted to see if she could help, because it seemed as though something horrible happened back in that canyon. She heard a shout and looked to see a human girl, a frumpy one at that, slide down the icy path before standing up and running off with a sort of fire in her eyes. Carnelian followed the human and reached the canyon, watching the scene unfold from behind her the fan, her face showing concern for the gems in front of her.
