In-game Role: NPC, a shopkeeper who had appeared in Generic RPG IV, and was put in again, due to fan popularity.
Powers, Abilities, and/or Items: He can sell you just any Item in the game, except those gained via completing a boss run. He has never used them in game, but in the tutorial level, by imputing the master code (Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A Select Start) You get him to teach you how to fight.
