Mithias searched the castle. He found some humans who thought they were just starting their workday groundskeeping, etc. He ignored them, as they did him. His father was nowhere to be found, which was just as well, fairly typical even. The other vampires that had been present last night were also nowhere to be seen. Daylight had sent them away. Mithias was a bit of a scientist and an investigator, and he simply could not rest until he had some answers. Of course his father's home was not the place for the kinds of experiments he was planning on. He marched himself down to the beach, in the brightening morning light. The talk of war, space lasers, zombies, and world domination all seemed so secondary now. Mithias had become detached from his own world. Now much more prepared, armed, and mentally ready, he forgot the life behind him and focused on shifting realms again. If that was what it was, he he apparently had control over it. He should be able to do it again. He opened his eyes a few minutes later to see a warped image of his own world in front of him, then with a nudge, it spit open into a window. Perhaps it was a window, perhaps it was a door. Mithias willed it to stay open then chucked a rock through it. No splash was heard on the other side. "Amazing." He uttered.
