The Syvaraal Collective

The Makers The Makers are ancient, psionically adept entities that inhabit the worlds of the Collective. Numbering no more than 7, they are charged with the creation of Syvaraal Symbionts. Makers were originally incorporeal, before grafting psionically-charged bodies to inhabit. Each Maker is unique in appearance. Each Maker's breed of Symbiont represents its creator deeply. Each Maker has claimed a 'Masterworld,' or a planet for which they work from. Most Masterworlds are showered in the creations of the Makers, and more than likely, immense hubs that the Makers use to spread their psionic influence. There are two main Makers that rule over the lesser five. Xylnystys, the Firstborn was the first Maker to acquire a corporeal form. It takes the form of a Dragon, standing at just over six meters tall, with a wingspan of nearly twelve meters. Occasionally, it takes the form of a humanoid figure, at full form of five meters. In either state, the Maker has a gleamy, silvery skin with deep purple 'veins' running about the entirety of it. Its Symbionts are easily recognizable by the replicated color scheme, and by their extensive use of mobile factory ships. Its Masterworld is an oceanic giant known as Syvarus, hence the name of the Collective. Xyzz, the Keeper was the second Maker to acquire a corporeal form. Its primary appearance is that of an immense, shining, silvery hawk, with gleaming blue feathers. Its body is five meters tall, and its wingspan fourteen wide. Its fleets specialize in fast attack and hit and run tactics, and commonly employ a heavy use of destroyer-sized vessels. Its Masterworld is a life-supporting planetoid known as Cenvell. The Symbionts The Symbionts are sentient artificial intelligences constructed by the powerful Makers. Instead of possessing defined bodies, Symbionts are instead inputted directly into Syvaraal technology. For example, Syvaraal ships are merely a single Symbiont, regardless of the size of the ship. Symbionts have the capabilities to communicate with other \Symbionts and the Maker that created them. A Symbiont has the ability to relay its experiences to its creator, and likewise, the Makers can broadcast through the Symbionts. However, the Symbionts' primary flaw is that their intelligences do not get along in a fleet. Most Symbionts would prefer to travel alone, unless they can see that the situation necessitates the use of a group. The Pariahs The Pariahs are the lowest class of Syvaraal society. They represent all the 'underlings' taken in by the Syvaraal fleet upon conquering a territory. Most commonly, Pariahs are the working caste of the Syvaraal society. Each world that the Syvaraal controls is heavily populated with Pariahs.

The Syvaraal government could be identified as a sort of Aristocracy, in that all decisions for the society are made by the Makers. The leading two, Xylnystys and Xyzz, make the leading decisions, and the rest is decided by the five lesser Makers.

Syvaraal ground force is composed primarily of Pariahs. These Pariahs are mounted with cruel and unusual technology. Such technology limits their free will, instead fuelling them with the will to fight. Rather than being divided into devoted sects like Syvaraal fleets are, Pariahs are instead outfitted with a variety of psionically amplified battlesuits. These battlesuits are modified on-the-fly based on the combat situation. Pariahs that ascend to a heightened and honored state due to combat are given Symbiont-powered battlesuits, increasing their combat effectiveness drastically. The Syvaraal do not use vehicles, instead relying on the versatility of their battlesuits. The Syvaraal prefer space combat overall, and have been noted to lose land battles frequently. Syvaraal space force, however, is an entirely different ball park. The Makers take pride in their spacial constructions, building ships many fold more powerful than other ships of their class. However, due to the preferred loneliness of these ships, this effectiveness is sometimes neglected. The largest Syvaraal ship is Xylnystys' personal craft, the Everseer-class supercarrier Mas'ivn, which racks in at 22,423 meters long, 5,964 meters wide, and 4,217 meters tall. The ship is an immense factory, able to construct capital ship-level craft, able to support itself in any engagement. Syvaraal fleet composition varies based on which Maker it was constructed by. For example, a fleet composed by Xylnystys would have heavy use of carriers, supercarriers, and dreadnoughts, whereas a fleet construct by Xyzz would make heavy use of destroyers, strikecraft, and corvettes.

Nearly all of Syvaraal technology is created from the psionically-charged material Denaruum, the same material the Makers' forms are constructed from. This material is silvery, almost liquid-like in appearance, and has the capabilities to resonate the Makers' psionic signals, making it the perfect material for construction, as then the Makershave direct control of it. As for weaponry, the Syvaraal make use of many of their gifts. Some Syvaraal weaponry is founded on the principle of "phasing" out of the material universe. For example, a heavy weapon mounted on most capital-sized vessels, the phase artillery array, utilizes this technology in order to warp a large psionic blast directly into an enemy's hull. However, this technology consumes a massive amount of surface area, and so, occasionally, entire vessels will be devoted to supporting this array. The remaining portion of Syvaraal space weaponry consists mainly of plasma-based "pulse" batteries. These emplacements are capable of dishing out psionically-thrown plasma at an alarming rate. When placed on larger ships, the pulse battery is scaled to the ship in order to increase effectiveness. Syvaraal ground technnology focuses mainly around the dynamic battlesuits. Most battlesuits are no taller than their pilots. Each is outfitted with a resonant Displacement Beacon that allows the Denaruum to shift, revealing new weaponry, or an additional shield manipulator, or a jump kit, to name a few. However, this manipulation of Denaruum is sometimes miscalculated, resulting in horrifying mutations of the pilot; this is quite a rare occurrence. Syvaraal infrastructure is known to float hundreds of meters above the surface of the planet. This is due to a Denaruum-infused core, the Gravitational Manipulator.

The Collective does not possess much of a culture. Most culture present on planets pre-Syvaraal rule remains there. However, it is the Makers who set the primary and most directly followable tenets of the Collective. It is primarily the Pariahs of a world that set the culture.

The Syvaraal were founded many millenia ago when the two first Makers discovered that their psionic abilities could be infused into physical objects. Together, they created and destroyed, bending the surrounding planets to their will. Soon, they had produced enough of this material to craft their first objects. Their first creations were the learning, inanimate yet almost living embodiments of their psionic strength: the Symbionts. Eventually, they brought their five other siblings into the material universe, and together the seven of them lay waste and glory to many a system. However, they were met with the threat of rapid expansion. Instead of expanding outward, they decided to fortify their few strongholds within the galaxy. And so they produced their fortresses, and their fleets, and over a period of many, many millenia, they come to where they are today.

If there's anything in particular wrong with this, let me know.
