The main reason that she doesn't want to fight a dragon is because she will die. She realises fighting a dragon relies on being able to dodge it's attacks, if Tirarrian wants to do any real damage to a dragon she will need her crossbow set up. She's also got much shorter legs than pretty much anyone and can't run away to a new position easily. Perhaps she could help organise traps, but will generally be useless
