This is what I can only assume gives rats the upper hand in tight spaces, sewers, etc. and I believe it would be a nice addition power wise that isn't the same old same old. Just call it 'Amplified Metacognition'.

The purpose of him looking like that was to make a hero who doesn't have the convenience of simply blending in like a human. His mutation has made him look like that and adds in the whole never being able to blend in. He doesn't have any superhuman strength, I just gave him rat like senses for the purpose of rat themed flavor.
