I can live with shrinking down to five inches, and controlling rats.... like a rat version of Ant-Man. But taking on the appearance of a humanoid rat with heightened attributes... that's where it stars sounding like a more redundant power set. I'll give ya claws and teeth, but whiskers, a tail, etc would be a deal breaker. Also, as others have pointed out, 'Rat King' is a villain in both TMNT and the Nutcracker. I googled some words, Rattus being one of the better sounding words for rat. Should use something like that for a name instead. Also, I found it interesting rats possess metacognition based on a study in 2007. What is metacognition? A mental ability previously only documented in humans and some primates, it is "cognition about cognition", or "knowing about knowing". It comes from the root word "meta", meaning beyond. It can take many forms; it includes knowledge about when and how to use particular strategies for learning or for problem solving. This is what I can only assume gives rats the upper hand in tight spaces, sewers, etc. and I believe it would be a nice addition power wise that isn't the same old same old. Just call it 'Amplified Metacognition'. ~KL~
The purpose of him looking like that was to make a hero who doesn't have the convenience of simply blending in like a human. His mutation has made him look like that and adds in the whole never being able to blend in. He doesn't have any superhuman strength, I just gave him rat like senses for the purpose of rat themed flavor.
