She understands why he's upset with her, its why she isn't begging for forgiveness. She doesn't think she deserves it. Atticus will likely say something too. He will kind of look at Kathleen. "You know I never realized it before, tell me you see it too." He will whisper to her.

She'll stop and turn to him, trying so hard to force herself to stop crying. She would just stay quiet, looking at her feet and looking back up at him. "I have listened to you, and I know you would have left with me but.." The tears will just keep coming. "Fuck, why am I crying?" She will mumble to herself, even though she knows why.
