[i] That's a pretty interesting concept. 

It could be interesting to combine the several ideas. Perhaps in this town every year there is this month of darkness where the town turns into this "silent hill esque" town for the 30 days, where not only do these outside monsters come to claim people- but because of the lack of sunlight the people in the towers began seeing things that aren't there-- or even their baddest traits come out; making them appear as monsters?

I know I would start to go crazy without sun for a few days haha [/i]
