The dark-eyed girl's mind became lost in thought as she waited for one of the sisters to be available, causing her to absentmindedly wave to the winged elf maiden when their eyes met. Her thoughts went back to when her father was still alive. The games, the teases, the tall tales, all went by in what seemed like only a moment, but what had really been six years. But she kept remembering, wondering if it would help her recall more or at least keep those memories completely secure where they were, but she always knew it would lead back to what happened afterwards, the message that had come from among the guards. But Alice's head was then brought back into reality by Vivan's question about hunting and the clattering of a soup bowl upon the table. "Hunting's going swell, Vivian. Thanks, I'll make sure to get boar for you the next time I go hunting." Then she smiled at the sister, knowing that on such matters as the soup, Vivian got her way, and started eating the excellent stew. Alice was still savoring the soup, keeping it firmly in mind to get the Bloodmoon sisters another boar, when Veo came in. The sight was indeed amazing, a satyr clad in armor, a wicked crossbow in his hands, fury in his eyes. "Must be for the bandit attack on his wagon," the blond thought to herself as she watched the shop owner and ate her stew. "But why did he look at me like that? All the men of this town always complain of my constant volunteering for bandit hunts. I would volunteer for it anyway, but why did he look like he wanted me like he wanted the two new elves?" She pondered this as Veo sat at the opposite end of her table, propped up his crossbow, and greeted her with a "Hello miss Alice." To which she replied with a smile and a courteous "Hello Mr. Veo." Then she heard in amazement as he personally offered her a place on the squad, as a tracker. She didn't know what to say. "You want me to join? Why I'd love to." then she calmed herself down to act more like the professionals. "I mean, I'm in. I would just need to retrieve my gear from the house."
