So, if you want to just re-write the post so that she is at the venue but didn't meet her soulmate because it isn't the right date or something, that's cool. BUT... if not, I'm giving you free reign to do whatever you want. Maybe she did meet him, and it was Sebastian, and he could dramatically die or something?
