1) Not sure what exactly your asking xP 2) I was trying to think of a character that would likely be under investigation by the Jedi at the time. My first thought was Palpatine, because they did investigate him (by having Anakin Spy on him), due to him becoming too powerful. Obviously I wasn't going to have my character investigating Palpatine though! Then I thought: 'wouldn't the Jedi also want to keep tabs on his close allies?' And eventually settled on Isard. Then I thought, if these two were investigating Isard, wouldn't Mace (after discovering the true identity of Darth Sidious) want his close allies to be arrested? Which is why I said that the two jedi were going to arrest him. Why my two in particular? Because they're investigators and I couldn't see any reason why that would clash with the lore. You could argue that they'd want more experienced Jedi doing a job like that, but then again most were busy at that time. If my character really has left a completely bad taste in your mouth from the offset, I wouldn't be opposed to making a new one from scratch.
1) As in Force Empathy isn't so much a learned skill, it's like a natural affinity that a Jedi learns to control. A good example of this is Ben Skywalker was so attuned to the Force due to all the death during his childhood he shied away from the Force entirely (subconsciously). Perhaps your Jedi was misbehaved (If you want to attach the empath element) because he was picking up on all the emotion in the temple (or perhaps even further during meditation). This is really me just throwing an idea around. 2) No nothing like that point two I was seriously asking a question, perhaps make it a bit clearer. You just said they were allies, but what exactly does that entail between Palps and Isard? Also maybe a little more on how they investigated it, Isard was a powerful figure how do two Jedi go about investigating him? ^This is me being curious as I feel you could maybe expand on this, as I'd like to know how your Jedi Investigator goes about investigating ;)
