Name: Dredge Hilura
Appearance:
Age: 36 Race: Human Gender: Male Personality: Savage in battle, holding no quarter, Dredge never pulls his punches. In a universe in which every single sentient being is stronger than he, he can afford no less. Outside of battle, however, the warrior turns to a soft-hearted, well-meaning example to everyone he meets. He fully embraces the 'great power, great responsibility' train of thought, and will give the shirt off of his back if he felt he had to. This by no means is an indicator of his naivete, however, he is no mountain-child, he lived in the slums of earth for much of his life until he adopted the way of the martial artist. Likely due to his upbringing, however, Dredge is prone to infrequent fits of rage and is constantly suppressing violent urges. Bio: Born and raised in the slums of the earth, Dredge is a living exception to the rule. Around the age of fourteen, he decided he would work his way out of the slums, and the only way he knew how was from behind the offensive stance of martial arts. After being seen mid-combat by a true practitioner, he was given a chance to join the Turtle school to refine his abilities. It was seen soon that he was naturally gifted in the ways of martial arts and ki techniques, but when sparring with his alien partners, he rarely stacked up. As befitting of his species, he at his strongest could barely hold up against the weakest androids or namekians. It was in his early twenties that he unlocked the secrets of the kaio-ken technique, the veritable forbidden fruit that allowed him to bring himself to a level much closer to the rapidly strengthening opponents he found himself fighting. The problem was the technique, while it certainly made him strong, literally wrecked his body the further he pushed it. When he just started using it, he could barely multiply his power three times without putting himself in the hospital, and anything further risked his life. He needed a solution, because his opponents were only growing in strength. He found the solution in the Capsule Corps' medical department: Nanites. In her later years, Bulma Briefs would attempt to try and make a synthetic version of the senzu beans that saved her warrior friends so many times. Even after death, she never succeeded, but came close by creating nano-machines that sped up the healing process of whomever hosted them by a factor of ten. He had to sign more than a thousand waivers to allow himself to be experimented on, but they proved worth it - the machines worked beyond his wildest dreams. They allowed him to safely push the limits to a factor of five, and if he went further, he just needed time to heal. The only downside being that the miraculous machines needed more fuel than his kinetic motions could create, so he has a ravenous hunger, able to put down literal tons of food in just a few sittings. As time went on, he found himself travelling and training. He fought to protect and he fought to rebuild. Hearing the stories of the World Trade Organization made anger bubble up inside of him, and hearing that there could be a resurgence in another form made him vow to fight it no matter the cost. Even if he was David, and the universe was Goliath, he knew he could do it, he just had to persevere. Aura Color: Lightning blue. Preferred Fighting Style: (Melee/Ki Blasts/Balanced) Balanced, though with a preference towards melee. Signature Combat Techniques: Kaio-ken (his 'safe' limit rests around Kaio-ken x10, though his absolute maximum rests around a hefty x29 during a life-or-death battle with a majin and his namekian cohort.) Various ki-blasts, Big Bang Attack, Kamehameha, Big Bang Kamehameha.
