This new wireless Matrix has made a lot of things easier: easier for you to be tracked, easier for your Nuyen to be moved in neat, tidy, transactions. Easier for the news to get to you, easier for you to buy your MegaCorp master's newest gadget. It's made running in the Shadows a little easier, and a little harder, too. And that would have been fine, we could have adapated, if they had left well enough alone. They didn't. Now magic is starting to 'crash', and not even this wireless Matrix seems to have any bit of idea as to why, or what might be behind it. But we in the Shadows have a few ideas. So get ready to Run, kid, get ready to Run for your life." - Fastjack
Game Brief:

Post Crash 2.0 world, new wireless Matrix exists.
The second SURGE of 2061 has reignited feelings against metahumans; tensions are at an all time high.
'Shadowtalk' moved from Shadowland BBS (killed in the Crash 2.0) to P2P network Jackpoint.
Players will be taking up one in a small team of Shadowrunners.
Each Runner will be moderate in experience and reputation.
Will mostly take place in Seattle.
Advanced standards, reasonable posting requirements. We all have lives.
The game will follow a story progression; although hopefully it will play out more like a sandbox. I very much hope to avoid GM post, round of response postings, GM post, round of response postings, etc, etc. On that end I do not plan on playing a PC, and I will not be playing the 'lead' Shadowrunner. I've got someone in mind for the role, but nothing set in stone, and I suppose it could end up being anyone. The story is more or less set; but the END of the story is not, and the plot is rather open ended. For much of the game, magic will be nerfed, as Fastjack alluded to in the above quote. It's as if magic is being repressed on a metaphysical scale; the same old spells don't result in the same old results. Sometimes they won't even work at all. I'll figure out a way to where that doesn't make Adepts and Shaman and Mages wet noodles in a scruff; so don't let that deter you from any character concepts.
