Hits three times with a 3rd strong hit. Up Tilt: Draw blade and slash up. Side Tilt: Stance slash, has good range. Down Tilt: Sweep with a backhand swing with sheathed sword. Dash Attack: Move blindingly a short distance and slash anyone he dashed through. Easily puts him on the other side. AERIALS: Neutral: Horizontal draw slash. Up Tilt: Backflip as he slashes horizontally. Forward Tilt: Pull entire sword up and do an overhead draw slash. Backward Tilt: Strike with the butt of the sheath. Comes out very quickly. Downward Tilt: Downward arcing draw slash. SMASH ATTACKS: Up Smash: Summon Askr, causing him to thrust his blade into the air. Has huge height, but is fairly thin, so you can be very close to him and this won't hit. Side Smash: Summon Askr to do a strong side slash. Huge range, but actually very very slow. Down Smash: Draw blade and plunge it into the ground. As he does so, Askr is summoned and does the same, and a shockwave strikes enemies around him. Has a good sideways hitbox, but not as impressive as his up and side smash ranges. It also has upward hitbox from Rui's position, meaning it will hit enemies just above him easily. THROWS: Pummel: Jab them in the stomach with the hilt. Upward throw: Smash them into the air using the hilt while sheathed. Forward throw: Let go before doing a spinning side kick. Backward throw: Kick their legs and let them trip forward before kicking them mid-fall. Downward throw: Kick their legs and trip them before stomping them. SPECIALS Standard B: (Garu) Charged move, charges a close to mid-range windslash that hits directly horizontal in the direction he's facing. Is incredibly quick and has good damage, but low launch. Upon starting charge, Rui has superarmor for a split second. Alt 1: (Garulao) Charges a spherical slash storm around himself, the size and damage dependent on the charge time. Has great launch, but very low range. Hits multiple times. Alt 2: (Magaru) Exact same as standard, except the slash goes behind him too. Its range is much less, as half of it is cut off from the front to strike behind. Up Special: (Gale Slash) Summons Askr and rides him in an upward rising slash. Pretty good damage but and can be combo'd off of some grabs. Alt 1: (Getsu'ei) Summons Askr and jumps off of Askr's sword while swinging. Only has a hitbox around Askr's swing, has really good recovery but that's it. Alt 2: (Tempest Slash) Summons Askr who will do a faster version of Gale Slash. Rui will not ride Askr who will carry anyone hit high into the air with strong launch, but will jump a bit on using this. Very bad recovery, but is a great execution. Side Special: (Cleave) Send out Askr to dash slash. Rather quick and can be combo'd off of a low percentage side smash and most percentages on side tilt. Can be charged to send out Askr at longer range. He will inevitably stop at the first opponent. Alt 1: (Zan'ei) Rui will dash as well and slash alongside Askr. Slower than Cleave so it can't be combo'd, but it strikes twice and can be used for recovery. Charging will increase range and damage. Alt 2: (Vorpal Blade) Chargeable and very low range, but hits a huge multitude of times depending on charge time, and is a very good execution. Summon's Askr who will slash in front of him with a big maelstrom of slashes to strike multiple times. Down Special: (Sukukaja) A counter. Upon taking a hit, disappear and reappear on the same position, slashing the opponent. The counter itself has no launch and low damage but has enough hitstun to allow the player to attack for free. Alt 1: (Life Drain) A counter. Upon taking a hit, drain the opponent's health. Has a slightly more strict timing. Alt 2: (Masukukaja) A counter. Upon taking a hit, dash and strike in a large area, with decent launch and damage based on whatever hit. FINAL SMASH: (Shit's a spoiler yo) VICTORY POSES First: Pull headphones off and adjusts himself. Second: Swings sheathed sword over shoulder. Third: Draws sword and swings it around before planting it into the ground. Special: TAUNTS Up Taunt: Calls down a hawk for a moment before letting it fly off. Side Taunt: Swing sheathed sword over shoulder and beckon with the other hand. Down Taunt: Draw sword and point it forwards before twirling it and sheathing it elegantly.
