Daiki laughed nervously as Grizel seemed to brush off the whole misunderstanding. At that moment the anouncement came on, as their WATCHs were distributed and before Daiki could turn and ask Grizel if she was ready and to look for him in the forest, they were promptly thrown out of the airship. "I guess I'll find you lat-AHHHHHHH!" He ended with a yelp as the ground disappeared beneath him and he was in free fall in a hurricane of flying objects and people, unsure of what exactly had happened. WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THIS CRAZY SCHOOL?! Daiki wondered as a window was shattered near him and the currents pulled him out, the wind rushing past his ears drowned out everything while he tried to think of a way to survive the fall. It wasn't as if he hadn't dealt with heights back in the forest, but diving from the canopy was very much different from dropping from the sky. He knew how to break a fall from a tree and his sword could take a lot of stress before it snapped, but he needed to get his upper body facing downwards... without any momentum to aid him. Trees are nothing. You've been chopping them down for years. Come on! Swinging his legs back, he had to use every bit of his core strength to position himself head first, with seconds to spare before hitting the canopy. He drew his blade just before he hit the first branch, sending his aura through the blade as an arc of energy was drawn with his slash and sliced through the trunk with explosive energy, sending a branch hurtling at him. His blade was back in its sheath and placed in front of him as the large projectile hit it and slowed Daiki's speed down enough so he could plant his feet on the tree without breaking his legs. He deftly kicked off the trunk and to the next tree, hopping from trunk to trunk as he finally slowed down enough to land on a branch without losing his balance. He could have made it all the way to the floor, but if years growing in the forest taught him anything, it was that the canopy was the safest place to be if you wanted to stay undetected. He checked his WATCH and looked for Grizel on the map. She really was the only friend he had made, after all, and the chances that he would meet another person he could get along with, faunus or human, were pretty slim. The few characters he had observed so far hadn't exactly made great first impressions. Find Grizel, then the Caches, and don't get killed. Simple enough. Grimm infested forest is home ground for me after all. Daiki thought to himself as he patted his sword again. "Let's get to work, eh, darling?" He found the wolf faunus' signal. Northwest. He made sure to get his bearings right before departing for her location, travelling through the canopy from branch to branch stealthily.
