Okay, another worldbuilding note so that people don't mistake Giray as a nation of religious fanatics: Giray is multireligious; it's just that the Mamluks and Slave-Bureaucrats aren't permitted to worship any God before they turn 18, during which they are permitted to worship whoever they want. The reason for that rule is that assuming that afterlives work just as in D&D, the Girayids believe that slaves who die attempting to escape won't have somewhere to go to in death. Note that even if afterlives work differently in Waldenshore, the Girayids can still have this belief; they would just be wrong.
