Cassie Anderson Directors Office to Airport
Once she left the director’s office, Cassie opened the file she had been given and gave it a quick look over. There was a psychic in Boston that was holding themselves up in an apartment, and Sector X wanted to send someone to check on them/ extend a hand of help. They were unsure of their powers, but that was most missions. You never knew what power you were going to find until you found the psychic. Like Niah. That mission was running through Cassie’s mind currently, since Niah had also been called in to the directors office to get a mission. A bit odd, but she was Sector X’s walking CSI kit, as she called herself, and given her powers, she preferred to stay in the lab. It did make sense. Would could find a thief better than her given her powers? Aside from two other people familiar with the criminal mind. Of course, if Mr. Hearne and Miss Page could get along for the mission, that would be a miracle. It didn’t take a mind reader to get that there was something there, from the way they looked at each other. Or more specifically how Miss Page looked at Mr. Hearne. Cassie didn’t care about how they felt about each other, as long as the mission got done and their feelings didn’t get in the way. She noticed there was a ticket to Boston tucked in her file and smiled. At least she didn’t have to make travel plans. Driving to Boston would take eight hours, and that was not a drive she wanted to make, not alone. So, flying was the best route to go. As she reached her office, she noticed that Kyle, her boyfriend, was leaning up against the door frame. “So, what did boss lady want with you?” “I’m going on a mission, obviously. There’s a psychic in Boston she wants me to scope out. I’m running this solo.” “How long are you going to be gone?” He wrapped his arms around Cass and pulled her close, causing her to blush. She wasn’t one for much pda, but Kyle was, and it was something she had accepted in the last six years. “Dunno. Could be a day, could be several. Gotta figure out if we wanna recruit her first and then go from there. You know how it goes.” “Can’t even enjoy living together for three days before you go off on a mission. I could join you, if you wanted?” “Nah, you have new recruits to train anyways, Kyle. You can’t get away that easily.” Cassie looked up at him and blushed. “I will miss you.” “I know.” He kissed her forehead gently. “But we both got some vacation time coming up. Wanna go visit your grandma?” Cassie looked up at Kyle and raised an eyebrow. “You’d wanna go to the rez?” While she didn’t really talk about it, Cassie was part Nambe, on her mother’s side. “Yes. It’s time I met your grandma.” “Alright. We’ll talk about it later. I got a mission to go get ready for. See you later handsome.” Cassie gave Kyle a kiss and then he walked off, giving her wave. She smiled, and turned to go into her office and pulled out her mission ready bag. She had gotten use to being called on missions suddenly, like most recruitment agents, and had a travel bag tucked away in her office. She hefted the bag over her shoulder, and picked up her car keys and sighed. Another day, another mission. She walked over to the elevator and pressed the call button for up. The elevator dinged, and the doors groaned open. She walked in the elevator and hit the button for the parking garage. Once she reached the parking garage, she walked to her car, opened it up and tossed her bag in. She got in her car and started it up and headed to Ronald Reagan Airport.
