Gabriel stared at her in awe. She truly did care. He wasn't sure if he was more surprised that Conrad had made some flower arrangement that was actually decent or the fact that she is giving him 20 dollars. [i]"Alright fine, we aren't hobos."[/i] he said finally, smiling. [i]"And... I'll ask the others about tomorrow. If they think it's a good idea, we'll accompany you to that big house of yours. For now though, we will manage the night. Oh and..."[/i] he accepted the 20-dollar bill from her. [i]"I'm sure Conrad will be overjoyed to hear he just made 20 bucks. He'll probably share with the entire group, but still."[/i] he smiled at her. [i]"Thank you, Vanessa. Truly."[/i]
He wasn't sure if he should hug her goodbye or if he should just let that be it and leave, and so he stood in awkward silence for a moment. It was a rather simple farewell since they would meet tomorrow but... Why couldn't he move?
